A partnership between Linn-Benton Community College and Central Oregon Community College
Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC) offers an Associate of General Studies in Diagnostic Imaging (Radiological Technology) distance education program. The essence of the program is that students take their prerequisite coursework at the college(s) of their choice and the radiology technologist courses are taught by LBCC in various locations throughout Oregon. Students who live in those locations apply for the radiology technologist courses through that area’s community college. Students who live in the Central Oregon Community College district (Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson counties, as well as Warm Springs and the northern portion of Lake County) apply for the Diagnostic Imaging program through COCC.
Admission to the Diagnostic Imaging Program is competitive and enrollment is limited; requirements are detailed in a handbook. Admission into the Diagnostic Imaging program allows a student to take the required radiology technologist courses. Prerequisite courses must be taken prior to admission and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
